Pluto is not just the smallest but the farthest planet in our solar system. Clyde Tombaugh discovered the planet in 1930 when he was 24 years old, working at the Lowell Observatory. He passed away in 1997. In 2006, NASA sent the New Horizons probe into space to fly by Pluto. It also carried a small portion of the cremated remains of Tombaugh, farthest mortal remains of a human travelled in space, enclosed in a small Aluminium capsule.
