According to a tally, the total count of coronavirus cases across the globe has surpassed the 12 million-mark. More than 5 lakh people have died due to the deadly disease across the world. According to the World Health Organization, the total count of cases is three times that of severe influenza illnesses recorded annually. India is now recording over 20,000 cases of the pandemic everyday and has over 7 lakh cases.
