According to the most comprehensive study to date on the transmission of the novel coronavirus, keeping two metres away from others, and wearing face masks and eye protection, both in and outside hospitals, are the most effective ways of stopping the spread of the pandemic. However, none of these interventions, even when properly used, offer complete protection from infection, and other protective measures are necessary too.
