A two-year-old girl who had recently returned to Meerut from UK has been found positive for the new Covid strain that emerged in Britain. The parents of the child have also been tested positive for the novel coronavirus but it is not clear yet if they carry the new strain or not. Authorities have sealed the Sant Vihar area under TP Nagar Police station to contain the virus. Locals are being closely monitored.
