The United States took to Twitter to congratulate Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on his appointment as India's first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). 61-year-old General Rawat was appointed CDS on Monday. Kenneth Juster, the US's Ambassador to India, took to Twitter to personally congratulate him and said General Rawat's appointment will lead to more productive discussions between India and the United States.
