The representatives of Apple and Google's parent firm Alphabet had to face some questions from a panel of US senators over the allegations of abuse of power using the dominance of their app stores. Top Senate Democrat on antitrust issues Amy Klobuchar said the tech giants can use their power to "exclude or suppress apps that compete with their own products" and "charge excessive fees that affect competition."
