Validity of driving licences that expired since 1 Feb extended till 30 June amid coronavirus lockdown

As India is undergoing 21-day lockdown to prevent the coronavirus from spreading, the govt today extended till June 30 the validity of documents like driving licences, permits and registration that expired since February 1, in a move to ensure hassle-free transportation amid lockdown. The decision was taken to facilitate the citizens facing issues in renewing the validity of documents related to the Motor Vehicles Act.
