Vodafone wins retro tax fight against India; Govt says to study tribunal award

British telecom giant Vodafone Group plc on Friday won an arbitration against the Indian government over its demand for Rs 22,100 crore in taxes using retrospective legislation. However, the Centre said it will study the arbitration award on decide on its future course of action. As per report, the Government of India's liability will be restricted to about Rs 75 crore in cost refunds.
