External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed concerns over the complete withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan during his conversation with top Biden administration officials. “I think people do worry of what would happen if things go badly,” Jaishankar said. He added that the gains of the last 20 years in Afghanistan are “something worth protecting, defending, nurturing” and they should not be “lightly sacrificed".
