An RTI sought details on the total amount of electoral bonds issued in 2018 and 2019 in major cities and in a reply it was revealed that while in 2018 a total of electoral bonds sold were worth Rs 1,057 crore, in 2019 the State Bank of India has already sold electoral bonds costing Rs 1,716.05 crore. In Delhi, electoral bonds worth Rs 147.06 crore and Rs 205.92 crore were issued in 2018 and 2019.
