WHO to re-evaluate coronavirus emergency status this week

The WHO is all set to discuss the emergency status of coronavirus. WHO Chief Tedros said they will be re-examining the PHEIC declaration that the outbreak included a public health emergency of international concern. The condition has shifted drastically since the declaration was made. PHEIC declaration is the highest level of alarm under international health rules which should be reviewed every 6 months.
