The coronavirus cases in India on Wednesday surged to 27,67,273 with a spike of 64,531 cases and 1092 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry. The country's COVID-19 count includes 6,76,514 active cases, 20,37,870 discharged/migrated patients. With 1092 deaths, the toll due to the disease has risen to 52,889. Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state from the infection.
