Woman participant in Oxford vaccine trial witnessed serious neurological symptoms, says AstraZeneca CEO

Pascal Soriot, the Chief Executive Officer of drugmaker AstraZeneca has said that a woman participant experienced serious neurological symptoms during the vaccine trials. The symptoms were accompanied by a rare but serious spinal inflammatory disorder. The vaccine candidate entered the third phase of trials in late August after satisfactory results were obtained in Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials earlier.
