World's First GM Virus Treatment saves a Teenager from near death experience

Isabelle Carnell-Holdaway was struggling with a life-threatening infection after a lung transplant & began experimental treatment after doctors lost hope. For the 1st time, scientists used genetically modified viruses to treat a patient fighting an antibiotic-resistant infection. A GM phage was used to treat a superbug infection in a human being successfully. Her treatment is still ongoing but with slow & steady recovery.
