Zydus Cadila found Covid vaccine safe in phase I trial, phase II will start from August 6

Amid rising number of coronavirus cases across India, Zydus Cadila today said its plasmid DNA vaccine to prevent Covid-19, ZyCoV-D, has been found safe in the Phase I clinical trial. The firm will now begin Phase II clinical trials from 6th of August, 2020. Zydus Cadila said that the doses of the vaccine administered to healthy volunteers in the Phase I clinical trial, which began on 15th July 2020, has been well tolerated.
