Manmohan Singh, born September 26, 1932, is an Indian politician, economist, and statesman who served as India's 13th Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. He is also the third-longest-serving prime minister in Indian history, following Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. Singh, a member of the Indian National Congress, was India's first Sikh prime minister. He was also the first prime minister to be re-elected after serving a full five-year term since Jawaharlal Nehru.
