Sri Lankan president has replaced PM without having power to do so

The Sri Lankan president, Maithripala Sirisena on Friday announced his decision of replacing the current Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. His decision came as a shock. The opponents even said that the president has no power to do so under the constitution. Whereas, Wickremesinghe said that he is having a majority and he will continue as the Prime Minister.
