Jasprit Bumah had a dream spell in the first innings of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne against Australia as he registers most wickets for India in his debut year in Test cricket with 45 wickets and counting. With the help of six wickets, he set a new record in Indian cricket and surpassed Dileep Dosh who had taken 40 wickets in his debut Test year in 1979. Harris, Marsh, Head, Paine, Lyon and Hazlewood were his victim today.
