India first team in history to play 950 ODI matches

Today India become first ever team to feature in 950 ODI matches after deciding to bat first against West Indies in Vizag. India played its first ODI back in July 1974 under the captaincy of Ajit Wadekar against England and also register a thumping victory with 23 balls to spar in a 55-over match. India is followed by Australia (916 ODI) and Pakistan (899 ODI). India is the second most successful team in terms of a number of wins.
