It was indeed a jaw-dropping moment from researchers when they discovered a previously unknown form of neural communication in the brain. The team 's paperwork suggested that they encountered a self-propagating wireless communication that jumps across the different parts of the brain. It seems that during sleep, the cortex & hippocampus sends out mysterious neural waves that could spontaneously propagate & their function is still unknown.
