Drastic fall in the traffic violations in Delhi after the new Motor Vehicle Act

The total number of challans for penalties saw a drastic fall of 79% in Delhi after the new Motor Vehicle Act has been kicked off. The fear of being fines with heavy penalties have made people abide by the law. The number of challans in the first 15 days of September is just 73000 in comparison to a whopping 350,000 for the same amount of time in August. Reports also show a 30% reduction in traffic in the city.
