ISRO chairman Sivan awarded A.P.J Abdul Kalam award for Chandrayaan-2 success

The Chairman of ISRO K Sivan has been awarded the Tamil Nadu government Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam award. It was Sivan's leadership that the organization launched its Chandrayaan-2 mission. The ISRO chairman could not be present at the Independence Day celebrations at Fort St.George but will collect the award from the Chief Minister on a later date. Sivan is also popularly known as the 'Rocket Man.'
