IT ministry not in favour of Aadhaar-social media linkage

According to the latest reports, the Information Technology Ministry may not like the idea of linking Aadhaar with social media profiles as it clashes with the popular notion or judgments on privacy. Also, the use of biometric identification card should be carefully planned before any final call before using on public platforms such as social media from all angles. However, there's no official position on the matter yet.
