Rafael Nadal continued his run towards a record-extending 12th French Open title as he thrashed Kei Nishikori 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 to reach the semifinals. The second seed, who now boasts a 91-2 win-loss record at the clay-court Grand Slam, has set up a magnum opus last-four clash with 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer. Earlier, Federer defeated his compatriot, Swiss star Stan Wawrinka 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4.
