Snakelike robot may save critically endangered northern white rhino

A flexible, snake-like robot may become a significant lifeline for bringing the northern white rhino back from the edge of extinction. A research team at California University has joined hands with San Diego Zoo to create the unique device, which they suggest could assist with the artificial reproduction process. There are only two specimens of northern white rhino are left in the world, both of which are female.
