WHO said measles case soared up by 300% worldwide in 2019 as compared to last year, amidst growing concerns over the impact of anti-vaccination campaigns spread through social media. Measles, a highly contagious can be entirely prevented with a 2-dose vaccine. This year 170 countries have reported 112,163 measles cases whereas, at the same time last year, there were only 28,124 cases. Africa has seen a huge rise in the last 3 mths.
