Wing commander Abhinandad Varthaman has started flying the MiG 21 again and makes his return to the fighter cockpit nearly six months after sustaining injuries while ejecting from a plane during aerial combat between India and Pakistan on February 27. The IAF pilot was captured by the Pakistan army after his jet was shot down before he downed an F-16 Pakistan plane but was released on March 1 by the neighboring country.
