52 inmates test positive for coronavirus at Tihar jail in Delhi

Amid a surge in covid cases in Delhi, the Tihar Jail complex in the national capital has been put on high alert after 52 inmates tested positive for the infection. 35 of the 52 inmates have been admitted to three different hospitals. Seven prison officers and the prison doctor have also tested positive for the novel coronavirus. According to an officer, three inmates have been admitted in critical condition.
