Review: A comedy film needs a good combination of ideas, writing, and execution. Ekkees Tareekh Shubh Muhurat comes up with some very fine ideas but fails to present and execute to make audience stick to the screen.

Girdhari Lal, running in his 50’s, is a priest, who is struggling to earn a living and lives under the help of his daughter’s earning. Life comes to real stress when he has to marry off his daughter, which brings up a lot of confusion and danger with politicians, cops and gangsters. In a series of events, the movie tries to twist the situation of an infamous Pandit and his family in such a way that it happens to be a comedy of errors. But the movie fails to portray the funny elements and make the audience feel disinterested.

The movie lacks a good scriptwriting, though the idea behind the story is fine. Poor storytelling skills and execution made the movie more unworthy to watch. But the worst section is the editing of the film where it feels that it is done in a hurry and scenes are just put together without any sense of cut, fade, and connectivity.

Even Sanjay Mishra, one of the finest actor in Bollywood, couldn’t save the film from bad execution and random script. Also, the main idea of satire on dowry and marriage in Indian society couldn’t be presented in a fair enough way.
