While it is true that formula takes longer to digest and hence stays in a baby's stomach longer, this unfortunately does not translate into more sleep for the mother. A research published in Pediatrics by West Virginia University discovered that whether mothers gave their newborns breast milk, formula, or a combination of the two, they all received the same amount of sleep and felt similarly pooped.
