Lamborghini's claim to fame is the creation of the first Viper engine. During the late 1980s, they created the Dodge Viper. Doge didn't want to just put a conventional truck engine in their automobiles. Instead, they commissioned Lamborghini to create an aluminium prototype of a Viper engine. Although this was not the final version, the prototype is still available. It is presently safely stored someplace in Detroit.
