BPA is a hormone disruptor that has been linked to cancer, infertility, metabolic disorders, and other life-altering illnesses. Heat and repeated scratching, friction, or surface disturbance can potentially accelerate the release of BPA in some plastic goods. BPA is especially dangerous to the sick, the elderly, and young children.
