The Venus flytrap will most likely be able to capture the bug as long as it is tiny enough to fit in a trap. The prevalent misconception that Venus flytraps are only used to catch flies is erroneous. In the wild, Venus flytraps not only have a diversified diet, but their primary prey are frequently ants and crawling insects.
